Full Description
We are seeking motivated individuals who are hardworking and driven to participate in a 12-week IT bootcamp that will provide training and mentorship in the areas of Quality Assurance (QA), Business Analysis (BA), or Scrum Master (SM). No technical experience is required, but we are looking for individuals who have a passion for technology and a desire to learn.
The program will take place one night a week from 6-9 pm and require 10-20 hours of training outside of regular work hours during the week. You will not be required to quit your current job during training.
After completing the program, you will have up to a year to work on projects and network in order to find placement into a BA, QA, or SM role. Please note that you should not quit your current job until you have secured a position in one of these roles in IT.
This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are seeking to transition into these roles or want to further their skills in these areas..
Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst:
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Report and track defects, bugs, and issues in software applications
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality software is delivered
- Continuously improve testing processes and procedures
Hourly rate: The average hourly rate for a Quality Assurance Analyst in the US is $25-$30 per hour.
Business Analyst (BA):
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
- Create documentation such as user stories, use cases, and process flows
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Conduct user acceptance testing and provide training and support to end-users
Hourly rate: The average hourly rate for a Business Analyst in the US is $30-$40 per hour.
Scrum Master (SM):
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Coach and mentor team members on agile practices and principles
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog
- Remove obstacles and impediments that hinder the team's progress
Hourly rate: The average hourly rate for a Scrum Master in the US is $40-$50 per hour.
Qualifications:
- No technical experience required, but a passion for technology and a desire to learn is a must.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
